FAQ

EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ORDERING, DELIVERY, AND WHAT TO EXPECT...

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
I am based in the North West of England - Rossendale, Lancashire, UK. I have a map on the bottom of my Contact page.

DO YOU DELIVER?
We sure do!  Delivery is charged at £1 per mile + time. If you would like a quote, don’t forget to include your venue's postcode in the contact form. We are used to travelling all over the UK!

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
Each cake varies in price depending on size and design, to give you an idea you can take a look at my Portions & Prices page.

HOW MUCH NOTICE?
Typically I get booked up anywhere from 4-24 months in advance, but some dates are more
popular than others - such as Halloween, so it’s always worth checking if there’s been a cancellation or a missed date in between.

Please do it as early as possible though to avoid disappointment!

HOW DO I ORDER?
Well first you can shoot me a message with your chosen date and I will check that it’s still available for you.

You can then secure this date with a booking fee of £100 per order – please note it’s not classed as booked until I have the deposit!  It is paid by bank transfer.

WHAT NEXT?
Ok, so you’re booked in! Awesome! Now you can start collecting inspiration images of things you
like, they don’t have to be images of cake…but colours, themes, characters, dresses, ANYTHING that catches your eye for your big day. We won’t actually start discussing the design of your cake until 1-3 months before the wedding. There is a good reason for this!

Ideas change over the course of planning your big day, especially if you start planning early. (I changed my own wedding cake design SEVEN TIMES!) So don’t think you are leaving your cake design too late, the later it’s planned the more perfect it will fit in with your day.

HOW MANY DO I CATER FOR?
I always say it’s wise to cater to just under your amount of guests due to people on diets, allergies, no-shows, not being a fan of cake etc. (I know..what!!?) It always looks better that the cake has all gone and been devoured than to have stacks of it leftover. But sometimes you might not want to feed everyone and you just want a cake for ‘show’, that’s fine too! Take a look at our portion guide to see what size of cake you might need.

DO YOU CATER FOR DIFFERENT DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Not at the moment. If you have any guests with allergies and you really want them to have cake I always suggest buying a small one from a supermarket that is 100% guaranteed to fit their requirements and have it served to them separately to your main cake. I would hate to make anyone ill, as some allergies are more serious than others.
My cakes will contain WHEAT, MILK, EGGS, SOYA and may contain traces of nuts/peanuts in chocolate toppings and sugarpaste. There may be additional allergens in your order but these are always listed on the box your cake is delivered in.

DO YOU HAVE MORE DESIGNS?
Of course! I have LOTS on my INSTAGRAM. That’s the place to be for the newest cake pictures, close-ups, and behind-the-scenes featured in my stories. Feel free to give us a follow. I’m also on FACEBOOK and YOUTUBE too.

 I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT!
Aww don’t worry! I will ask you a few questions and pull up some ideas from there. All we need is a ‘theme’ and I will throw some ideas at you to see what you think. It certainly doesn’t have to be a cake from the gallery, I would rather make something unique, new and YOU.

WHY DO SOME PICTURES HAVE A 'BLACK CHERRY' WATERMARK ON THEM?

*evil laughter* Little Cherry was the light side, and Black Cherry was the dark side. It was the geekier little sister! Unfortunately, it confused people too much having two names, two websites, but only one social media so now both companies have merged, like some sort of weird Frankenstein's monster, but we love it just the same!

I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION...
Sure, feel free to shoot me a message through the contact form.
